  1. You are entitled to receive a written copy of the Patient and Family Rights at reception or from our Customer Service team. If you need assistance or do not understand any part of it, please ask our staff, and we will be happy to explain or provide interpretation services.
  2. You have the right to receive care that respects your personal values, beliefs, and privacy without any discrimination, as per the regulations of NHSMC and governing authorities.
  3. You have the right to receive comprehensive, high-quality medical care, including diagnosis and treatment for your condition.
  4. In case of an emergency, you have the right to receive immediate care.
  5. You are entitled to know the name and specialty of the physician responsible for your care.
  6. Our healthcare team will provide you with clear and understandable information about your diagnosis, treatment options, risks, benefits, and potential outcomes, so you can make informed decisions about your care.
  7. If language is a barrier, we will provide an interpreter (based on availability) to assist you in understanding the details of your care.
  8. You have the right to have a same-gender healthcare professional present during certain parts of your physical examination or treatment.
  9. You are encouraged to actively participate in decisions about your care and treatment, including giving informed consent for any procedures.
  10. Upon request, you can obtain a copy of your medical report or test results from our medical records team in line with NHSMC and Dubai Health Authority (DHA) regulations.
  11. Your privacy and confidentiality will be protected throughout your treatment at NHSMC.
  12. You have the right to choose or reject a specific healthcare provider based on availability and valid reasons.
  13. You may refuse treatment if you wish. However, your physician will explain the medical consequences of refusal, and you will need to sign a form acknowledging your decision.
  14. You may refuse to allow any person not directly responsible for your care to be present during your treatment or to access your personal medical information.
  15. You have the right to be treated in a safe environment free from any form of abuse, including physical, verbal, or psychological.
  16. If you are interested in donating organs, you have the right to receive detailed information from your physician regarding the donation process.
  17. You have the right to be accompanied by a family member or guardian during your stay at NHSMC, subject to medical guidelines and unit policies.
  18. If transfer to another medical facility is necessary, you will receive a complete explanation of the reasons and responsibilities, and NHSMC will make all arrangements for the transfer.
  19. Upon request, you can receive an itemized bill explaining all charges for services rendered at NHSMC.
  20. You have the right to share feedback, complaints, or suggestions through our Customer Service team.
  21. You have the right to access your medical records under the supervision of a healthcare professional.
  22. NHSMC respects your right to pain assessment and management, in line with evidence-based practices.
  23. If any new scientific research is conducted that may involve your care, you will be informed about it and your participation will be voluntary.
  24. You have the right to refuse participation in any research or clinical study without affecting the quality of care provided.
  25. NHSMC is committed to offering compassionate care, especially to terminally ill and dying patients, in accordance with their specific needs and DHA guidelines.
